HIXX Meets JESSE & THE HOGG BROTHERS

At The Midway on June 20th a fun afternoon show with high energy openers Johnny Plankton and Club Linehan A Go Go warming up the afternoon drinking audience. By the time we came out the crowd was ready for us. Then HIXX did a rocking set including new songs they will be recording in August. They were great! Here is a picture of me and Jeb Hixx after the show outside the club.

"Yesterday's show at the Midway was a rock n' roll riot! From start to finish all the bands brought it home,100 percent. Johnny Plankton's melange of 70's and 80's punk/glam/new wave made all the aging punks happy. LOL! Club Linehan A Go Go's cover set was peppered with rock n' roll gems from the Stones to Chuck Berry. They delivered them in true garage band fashion and left you wondering why it took them 30 years to reunite. Jesse and the Hogg Brothers bare footed, tattooed, white trash country had everybody laughing and thinking how cool is it that a band would cover "Knock Three Times" with such reckless abandon. These guys can stay at our trailer park any time they want! We capped it off with our usual bombast including what I thought was a particularly sinister version of "Shut Up And Go to Bed" and newer songs slated for our upcoming album. It was a day that left me wanting MORE!"
