Summertime is fun and always has opportunities for artists to perform outdoors and this summer is no different. Fans come out and camp out and can really meet and build friendships while enjoying live music. This year in Waddy, KY we got to play at GOOD VIBES AND TRIBES Festival. We arrived in time to catch the end of Alicia New's set and she has a great voice, watch for her. Next up was a really interesting brand of music from Rabidgrounds out of Barea, KY. Great harmonies and a psychedelic soundscape of rock stylings. They even had trombone on a few songs and it was great how it fit perfectly. After our set Kreek Water came out and demonstrated why they are a top notch country band.
It all looks easy as a fan but it takes a lot to pull these events off and there is no substitute for experience. Spent time talking with festival organizers Brandy Lee and Biz Ness about how tough it can be putting these things together and how nasty some folks can be in what seems like a positive purpose overall goal. Working with people always subject to changes. Good news is most people are nice, neve forget that.
We are proud to be selected once again to perform at the 11th JP MuSIC FESTIVAL and special guest Lisa Mari Hogg will be joining the band for the 1st time since she began her own group LISA MARI & THE BACONETTES. This will be the 3rd time we have played this wonderful event on Jamaica Pond and mark the date Saturday September 9th.
