'Kenny Banged The Bride' is a classic Hogg Brothers side, a straight-up cowpunk rockabilly hustler with a humoristic twist. The track recalls the story of a long-gone regular gig, just ask Kenny why! Another slice of comedic nostalgic brilliance from The Hogg Brothers, and a brilliant fusion of country and punk. On this particular outing, the band also bring in an Irish undertone, tipping the hat to their time in Boston and such local heroes as the Dropkick Murphys.
Jesse: "This song is based on a true story back when we were a cover band. We got hired for a very famous person's son's wedding and we got fired, missing out on a huge payday. We were reminiscing about it last year when I was visiting Kenny and Neil in Texas, we wrote this song and for some reason we ended up doing our own Hogg Brothers take on Irish punk fusion."
