The band was anxious as the last time we played at Southgate Revival was in summer of 2017 when we was based out of Boston. here's a picture from that show. Stevie Joe and Pappy and Jesse were in the band that played here last.
We were fortunate this show to be in the Revival Room with 2 fantastic Cincinnati based band and up 1st was The Mortals and they put on a fantastic set of songs off the current album as well as classics from their storied career. Great guitar hooks from Denny Brown and one of my favorite tracks The Black Hand which happens to be the 1st cut off 2022's Low Value Targets CD. Get more info at mortalsgarage.com. We went up next and had a fun set of our Texas CowPunk and it was the debut of our new drummer Hester Hogg. It's a small world as one of the gents we met at Monsterpiece was the sound man.
Then it was party time as Skunkdog completed the evenings entertainment with a CowPunking set of tunes off their Homemade Hootch CD. With killer tunes like White Trash Princess , Cocaine & Fucking , and I can't stop playing The Wages of Sin. A really fun band led by Singer guitarist Butchie who is one hell of an animated front man. Thanks to Drummer Butch for letting us use his drum kit.
We are hoping to perform with these 2 bands sometime in the future.
